Resource: Pathways to Global Health Careers

Nine years ago, we worked with the Washington Global Health Alliance (WGHA) Ambassadors Program to develop a poster and set of accompanying fact sheets to introduce students to pathways to careers in the global health field. Recently, we updated these materials as part of WGHA’s STEM Global, an educational initiative to inspire and prepare the next generation of global health researchers, practitioners, and champions. These materials were recently distributed to teachers at the STEM Global Teacher Workshop, are now featured on the STEM Global website (see “Resources“), and will soon be distributed to teachers and visitors at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s Discovery Center.

Use these career resources in your own classrooms and career counseling offices to build awareness of the diverse pathways toward a global health career. The poster and fact sheets are organized by the Washington  OSPI Career and Technical Education’s career clusters
