Free Summer Classes at St. Edwards Park in Bothell!

The St. Edwards Environmental Learning Center has some great classes in June and July for children, adults, and families. Check out the full schedule here. To register for a class, send an email with the class name, date, and number of people to Colleen Ponto.

Global Health Field Trips & Workshops

Interested in launching a partnership with global health and SBRI's mission to reduce the burden of infectious diseases? SBRI is hosting two annual teacher workshops (TB & Math on July 10th, and Malaria & Science on November 13th & 14th). Teachers who participate in these free workshops recieve $300 to bring their students to SBRI for an interactive field trip to the BioQuest education lab. Also be sure to check out SBRI's outstanding teacher professional development workshop modules .

Frontline Documentary: Poisoned Waters

The Frontline documentary, Poisoned Waters, examines the problems with America's polluted waterways. The program spends some time focused on a waterway close to home: Seattle's Duwamish River, a Superfund site that bears the pollution of generations of riverside industry. The program includes interview with three Seattleites working to improve water quality. To view the website, click here.
