Science at the Pumpkin Patch
A visit to the pumpkin patch is an excellent family activity, and If you look for it, an outing full of science curiosities as well. At Craven Farms in Snohomish, there were biology lessons sprouting in the pumpkin patch and genetics lessons in the barrels of squash and corn varieties. There were physics questions whizzing through the air at the pumpkin slinger. There were animal behavior observations rooting and scratching away in the animal barn.
