Teaching about Climate Change Workshop
Saturday, April 19, 2008 (8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.) and Sunday, April 20, 2008 for the National Geographic Live! evening presentation "The Challenge of Climate Change" with Dennis Dimick. Most appropriate for teachers of grades 3-12.
Join Woodland Park Zoo, National Wildlife Federation and Facing the Future to gain new strategies and resources for engaging students in exploring the environmental, economic, political and social issues related to climate change at developmentally-appropriate levels. Empower students to reach their own conclusions and take action on solutions they develop. Participants in this workshop will experience activities and learn about action and service-learning projects from National Wildlife Federation's Climate Classroom and Facing the Future's new climate change curriculum.
Cost: $10 materials fee. Clock hours (10) and credit (one graduate quarter credit) will be available.
