Maya Lin: Systemic Landscapes
You can’t miss this exhibit. Maya Lin has taken an obsession with maps, geography and landscapes to create a breathtaking exhibit. This is art you walk through, walk under, walk in between. Lin’s work varies from a giant topographical form created entirely of 2×4 lumber stacked on end, to old atlases carved page-by-page to provide a topographical map of what the flat maps fail to show. Simply beautiful.
April 22 to September 3, 2006 at the Henry Art Gallery on the University of Washington campus.
